- Hi Steve, There is no problem at all with the voice of the incoming
- messages, it is better for a voice modem. Everything sounds OK, there is
- no interference at all.
- What exactly do you mean by fax-on-demand capability. There is remote
- access feature which lets you forward faxes or messages from any remote
- telephone to you or to any other place.
- There are about 999 password protected mailboxes that can be configured to
- work as you want, like special greetings, fax access to that person only etc.
- Yes, you can import .wav files to play messages. Record your audio CD in
- the wave editor and paste into the ring. You cna import any .wav or .mcv file.
-
- If you have more questions, look at it before buying. One cool feature is,
- the miro company in North America gives its miroCONNECT 34 users free
- software upgrade, which comes on CD, everythime there is an upgrade. Free
- of chrage, I don't know whether this applies to UK and Europe too. The new
- upgrade right now is DSVD. Just either download the file from the miro
- homepage or the IBM Mwave homepage and install it. No hardware required at
- all. That's the whole point about Mwave DSP chip. Upgrade through software.
-
- My best bet for you is to find a friend who has it and have a look at it
- and also read about the review about the MWave DSP chip and the miro card
- on the net.
-
- Hope that helps.
